Philosophy

We treat your teeth as if they were our own.

Education

Dentistry requires a commitment to life-long learning. Our dental practice is dedicated to staying up to date with advances in new techniques, materials, and technology. We make the distinction between advances that are supported clinically by literature and evidence, and those that are not. We owe it to our patients to offer them what is the best for their health.

Evidence Based, Biology Driven

It’s not only a matter of what works, but how it works. The mouth is an very hostile environment – exposed to bacteria, hot and cold, dry and wet, hard, crunchy, soft and sticky things. We pay careful attention to our choice of materials, the places they are used, and how they interact with your body. A deep appreciation and understanding of the biological aspects of dentistry is critical for achieving long-term success.

Prevention

We’re more than about fixing teeth. Seeing your dentist regularly is the best way to avoid major problems with your teeth, gums, and overall health. We strive to intercept problems early before they develop into more serious issues.

Conservative

Just because something can be done, doesn’t me it should be. Preservation of your natural teeth in their healthy state is our mission. Sometimes that means observing cavities for changes, or using smaller burs and instruments so as to cut less tooth structure. When advanced treatment is recommended, we will encourage you to only do as much treatment as necessary to achieve your goals.

Informed decisions

We recognize that there is a person attached to the mouth. And that person may have questions and concerns about their dental needs. We believe it is important for our patients to understand their oral conditions and treatment advice, so that they can make informed decisions about their health. This is what we call a Dentist-Patient Therapeutic Alliance.
